In the casting system,a filter disk is placed at the intercross of vertical running channel and horizontal running channel,in this way,the impurity in the melt metal will be arrested effectively and the turbulent flow will change into laminar flow.The metal fluid may be obtained with the properties of purity,homogeneity and grain refinement.This will evidently increase the quality of casting pieces and reduce the rate of rejected products.
It is used to prevent the larger impurity from entering the molding pieces such as slag,dropped sand,metal oxide and other harmful impurity;it also can change the flow state of the metal fluid,from turbulent flow to laminar flow,in this way,homogeneitu may be taken to the metal fluid.

Method of application |
The taper of vertical running channel should be properly enlarged,and the static head will be increased appropriately.The excircle of mold at filter will be swelled by 2.0-2.5mm,the wall is thickened by 1.0-1.5mm,thus,it facilitates installing the filter disk. |
